What is the DH Fun Bus and how does it work?

If you have not heard, Different Heroes (DH) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization run by 10 year old CEO Cameron Haight, his mom Sarah, and co-founder Chris Craft. Following their C.A.P.E. model, which stands for Community, Assistive Devices, Programs, and Events, DH uses money received each year via kind donations from people like you to provide travel assistance to limb different campers and their families. Most recently a fun bus was reserved to transport campers to and from the Jacksonville, Florida airport and the famous Hands To Love camp, which is located on the other side of the state, in Starke, Florida!

Cam (the nonprofit organization's limb different CEO) and his mother welcomed the traveling families from the Jacksonville airport with big smiles! They supplied them with HERO bags containing lots of fun DH swag, snacks, and other cool surprises. Lastly, they loaded up with the families on a limo style bus, with a mission to make the transition from the airport to camp as fun and relaxing as possible! The fun filled 1.5 hour drive from the airport to the camp in the below limo style gives the families a chance to make friends prior to arriving to camp, ask questions about what to expect and/or to share their experiences with 'new to camp' families, and get a little rest if needed before the fun packed weekend really begins!  

Per the nonprofit organization's CEO, the smiling faces pictured above make him smile. "I love helping with this part because it is something more important than just me. My mom does too. I love meeting new people, especially ones with limb differences because I don't get to be around other kids like me very much. Most of all I love that we get to have some extra memories before and after camp... so when camp ends, it doesn't really end for us because everyone taking the fun bus still gets to travel back to the airport together!"  

As you can see, this bus is not an ordinary bus - it is the DH FUN BUS!
